Story

The theme of this jam was "Robot Companion" and I thought it would be a neat idea to be the Robot Companion rather have one.  This is a short game in which you play as a robot from another era of time whose battery had recharged just enough to bring a little more joy into the world.

Behind the Scenes

The background is a parallax little bog I made in Asperite with minimal animations.  The robot was inspired by BMO from Adventure time, Wheatley from Portal 2, and Tomagachi's haha.  I didn't finish a few things.  Like I have a quest system that I ended up scrapping which is why it says "Duck Memory Quest Completed" even though that was no longer the idea.

Music was made using Logic Pro, the name is B.O.G.  Engine is Godot4.  Art made in Aesprite.

Very lovely

I'm honestly really impressed by the intro- and outro-sequences, I'm surprised you had time to make those :O They're so good??!

I really liked the bot, although I accidentally sequence-broke the first quest by getting the ring first (I kept walking expecting the frogs to light up for interaction but forgot it was E to talk, not spacebar... Oops), and then the B.O.G. already knew about the frog's dilemma while still having to talk to the frog xD
Which was pretty funny! Overall, it looks pretty polished and is very impressive

(+1)

50% of the game - Drawing characters and building unnecessary code that I restructure

20% of the game - Ideas and scrapping them

30% of the game - making intro sequence that was reused by outro

Thank you Solar, I really appreciate you taking the time to play the game much less notice the bugs :)
